Meri Shaan
Turban is my crown which does not let me fall down. Among Sikhs, the turban (dastaar or pagg) is an article of faith which represents equality, honor, self respect, courage, spirituality and peity. It is regarded as a unique part of the Sikh identity. It is not uncommon for family members (wife, sister, brother ) to help with tying the pagg or turban. In this painting we see she is helping him put his crown on.
