Shamsheer

A persian word meaning a sword or a kirpan.

Kirpan (from kirpa: mercy and aan: honour) symbolises power and freedom of spirit, and is a reminder to Sikhs to fight injustice and oppression, but is not to be used as an instrument of violence.
